Beautiful Addictions
by Season Vining
Release: January 28, 2014
Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Synopsis

Josie Banks is a girl without a past.  After being found unconscious with no memory, she was shuffled in and out of foster homes where she suffered years of abuse. An experience that left her broken, damaged, and clinging to drugs and meaningless hook-ups to numb her pain.
When Josie disappeared years ago, she took a piece of Tristan with her.  She’s the girl he thought he lost forever—the one he’s never been able to forget.  Now a twist of fate has brought them back together, and he never wants to let her out of his inked arms again.  But Tristan is haunted by a dark past of his own.  On the run from ruthless criminals that shattered Josie’s world years ago, reentering her life puts them both in danger. As Josie and Tristan’s lives become tangled once again, they find themselves unwilling and unable to escape the relentless pull that draws them together.  But will the past leave their love in ruins—or bind them together for a lifetime?

Excerpt

Josie craved his touch and she couldn’t understand why they hadn’t had sex yet, or any form of it. She wanted it; her fingers ached to touch him in places she’d only yet imagined. It was obvious that Tristan felt the same way, so she failed to make sense of his need to take things slow. She longed to feel his sweat slicked skin against hers and inhale the scent of their bodies combined. Not ready to admit any kind of emotional connection, she desperately needed a physical one. It was the only thing she was comfortable with.
She found it curious that her dependency seemed to be shifting. No longer did she need meaningless sex or drugs to numb her. Josie only wanted to submerge herself in Tristan, to soak up everything he offered. He was her new addiction.
Tristan was in a constant state of arousal in Josie’s company. Never able to completely relax, his muscles remained tense and rigid with yearning. If it had been any other girl, he would have taken her already, hard and fast, several times. But he knew that Josie used sex to avoid attachment. He didn’t want to be just another mark on her therapeutically notched bedpost. To him, Josie was something new, yet familiar, something he wanted to cherish. He felt like two ancient souls, separated for a lifetime, had suddenly been reunited.
Unable to contain the sexual tension clawing at her skin, Josie slid her notebook from her lap and straddled Tristan. He gave her his lopsided grin as his long fingers wrapped around her waist. Josie smiled triumphantly, thinking that she’d already won.
“What are you up to?” he asked, dipping his head so that his lips pressed ever so softly to her shoulder.
“I need to feel you Tristan. Just touch me.” The sound of Josie’s words echoed around the quiet room. “I want you.”
Those three little words left him breathless. Such a brazen statement from Josie sent his willpower into a faltering tailspin. He hummed in agreement, sliding his kisses down to her neck.
Josie ran her nails along Tristan’s scalp, making his eyes close in contentment. The feel of her hot body pressing down on him caused momentary insanity, totally emptying his brain of rational thought. He wanted her more than anything he’d ever wanted before. Not here, not now. There was so much more to say.
“Can I take you out?” Tristan asked, suddenly moving his hands back down to her waist and resuming a neutral position.
 “Out of the apartment?”
“Out on a date,” he clarified.
“A date?” Josie asked, her frightened voice making the words sound foreign.
"You know, an appointment for a particular time, especially with a person to whom one is sexually or romantically attached."
"Are we attached?" she asked, not really knowing what she wanted the answer to be.
"More than you know," he answered.

Zoey Donovan should be happy. Her love life couldn’t be better, her demonic nemesis is on the run, business is booming, and no one has tried to kill her in seven whole months. But without her best friend to share it with, it all seems a little hollow. Neil, her fabulous furry wingman, is missing and two grumpy werewolf bodyguards have taken his place.

An ancient Roman legend tells of an artifact that will grant its possessor the power to control all wolves. No one, including Daniel and Dev, believes the Strong Arm of Remus is real but Zoey thinks Halfer might have already located it. With every werewolf pack in North America gathering in Colorado, the demon could enslave an unstoppable army.
To save the day, and possibly the world, Zoey will have to find a way to steal the Strong Arm of Remus from one of the most powerful demons in existence. Then again, impossible is kind of her specialty.

Uncomplicated by Dawn Robertson and ME Cover Reveal

Blurb:

Three days a week I work your everyday nine-to-five. The paperwork is never-ending. The pay is mediocre, and the office drama is simply intolerable. But the other four days a week, I am my own boss.

My name is Jennifer Sunshine and I am a Vegas Call Girl.
My clients range from frat boys on spring break to multimillionaire business men with stuffy wives and less than ideal equipment.

I don’t have a daddy-complex or some kind of sob story.
I don’t need the money, but it is nice.
The only thing I crave is the exhilarating feeling I get from being in control of something. Anything.

My life is uncomplicated, simple even.
That was until he bulldozed his way into my life, and everything changed.
Overnight he makes me realize how much I truly need him.

About Jo-Anna Walker:

I'm a new self-published author who just got introduced to the writing world early 2013. My aunt suggested that I write a story because I'm an avid reader but I waved it off and left it alone. Well this year, a story came to me and I went with it. It took me a little bit but I finally got a story idea that worked and now I can't stop or control the characters/stories that keep popping up in my head.

I'm born and raised in Canada and I live with my very wonderful and supportive husband, Michael. We don't have any children (yet) unless you count our cat. My hubby been my rock through this whole new experience for me. I couldn't have done it without him and my friends and family.

One of the many things I love about this new chapter in my life is that I'm learning constantly. It's never a dull moment and as long as one person likes my story, I am happy.

About Dawn Robertson:

Dawn Robertson is a twenty-something indie erotic romance, and mother. She lives in sunny senior citizen packed Florida, where she wrangles her kids, and Pitbull puppy.

Dawn can normally be found swearing like a sailor, making late night drive-thru appearances, arguing with her kids (or being run over by their power wheels), reading a steamy romance while hiding in her bathroom, writing her little heart out on her laptop (or dragging her Macbook to the Genius bar praying they can save her latest work in progress), or sipping on a smoothie. She loves to hear from her fans, readers, and authors alike. Feel free to drop her a message.

Dawn rarely takes life seriously, so be sure to expect heavy sarcasm from her. She is also the life of the party, so be sure to meet up with her at one of the many author events she will be attending in the next couple months. Buy her a shot of whiskey, and she will love you for life.

EXCERPT:
“HELP! I’VE BEEN KIDNAPPED. SOMEONE HEL…”
Suddenly, I am grabbed from behind and dragged into the bedroom and thrown on the bed like a rag doll. I try to roll onto my back but instead a weight settles on my back, and my face gets shoved into the mattress.
“Shut the fuck up, bitch.”
The voice is not Deacon’s. I freeze as shock runs through my body from head to toe, paralyzing me in fear.
“Lover boy isn’t here to save you. It might be worth facing his anger to shut you up permanently.”
I don’t speak. I’m afraid to move. Who is this man? He moves off me so he can roughly flip me over. I stare up into his hard eyes. He’s not an attractive man. Light hair, pointy nose, and lips so thin they’re hardly there at all. He has a scar that runs from the tip of his eyebrow to the middle of his cheek. “Leave me alone.”
“I don’t think I will… what does he call you? Princess? I don’t think I will, princess.” He says mockingly. Then, to my horror he runs his hand down the front of my body, squeezing my breasts painfully and then gripping my hip. His breathing starts quickening.
“No, please don’t touch me.”
“That’s right, beg, you bitch. Next time you will think twice about breaking the rules and trying to yell for help.”
Oh God. He’s going to hurt me, or worse. I do the only thing I can. I start struggling. I kick my legs like a three-year-old having a tantrum. I throw my head back and forth and get one of my hands loose and scrape my nails down the front of his face. “Let go of me!” I scream.

Giveaway!!

So excited to be announcing this giveaway that Dawn Robertson and I are hosting!! Enter for you chance to win some amazing goodies!! And here, for your viewing pleasure is an excerpt from our up and coming novel, Uncomplicated:

“So Nora is becoming cozy with Dean.” Jennifer laughed. The deep husky sound traveled through me, lighting my skin on fire.
“Do that again.” Her gaze met mine, the smile on her face faltering.
“What?”
“Laugh. Again,” I demanded.

She licked her lips making my body buzz with adrenaline. She leaned forward, pushing her chest into the table. My gaze travelled to the swell of her breasts, that I couldn’t wait to get my mouth on. Her puckered nipples, hardening under my touch as she enjoyed the bite of my pinch.

“God, the way you look at me. It’s like you want to eat me alive,” she said quietly. My eyes met hers and she shook herself, her cheeks reddening at her silent admission.
I smiled. “More like devour, love.”
She grinned. “You don’t seem fazed by my choice of career.”

“I’m not.” I wasn’t a fan but it’s not like I did things in my life that were any better. I wasn’t one to judge.
“But I will tell you, you will not be having sex for money anymore.”
She frowned. “Mathis, I—”
I slapped the table, my temper getting the best of me. “No. I will fucking pay you if that’s what it takes but no other man or woman is getting their hands on you.”
“Why? Why me? You can have anyone you fucking want, Mathis.”
“I want you,” I said matter-of-factly. I didn’t know why she was arguing. Couldn’t she sense the connection? The raw physical chemistry between us? When she came against me in the elevator, it took everything in me not to rip off her panties and fuck the shit out of her.

She huffed. “But why? I don’t get it. What is so fucking fascinating about me?”

What was so fascinating about her? I hadn’t figured that out yet. All I knew was that once our eyes met the night before, I felt something. It was a pull so strong, it took my breath away and it would be over my fucking dead body before I let her go.

***

“Where is she now?” Dean asked me as he stood at the patio window.
“In the shower,” I mumbled. She had been doing that a lot today. Always running. Always hiding from what I knew she wanted. Call me crazy or even delusional, but I knew she was the one. Marriage was the only way to get her to see that and even though she wasn’t coherent when she said, I do, it was fucking worth it. She clearly needed a night of no inhibitions. A night of losing one self as the alcohol took over. Next time she submitted, it would be to me, minus the alcohol.

“How’s it going?”

I leaned my head from side to side, cracking the tendons in my neck. The slight twinge of pain travelled down my spine sending a chill through my body. “Could be worse.” Could be better as well. I needed to get laid, and it needed to be fucking soon. My hand was not cutting it anymore. And God knows I had jerked off three times since I said I do. There should be a law against that.

“Patience.”
I scoffed. “Show yourself out,” I mumbled and headed to my bedroom.
Steam travelled underneath the bathroom door, swirling into the air. The sound of water running sent a hot flush over my body. This was it. It was time and there was no fucking way Jennifer would say no.
I walked into the bathroom, the silhouette of her small frame blurred by the glass shower. My cock hardened, my skin buzzed, adrenaline coursed through me at the sight. Her back stiffened and she turned around, looking at me through the glass. I took that as my chance and opened the shower stall.

Her eyes were wide, filled with a hunger I had never seen before. My chest rose and fell with ragged breath. “Tell me.” Her nostrils flared. “Fuck me.” I growled and pushed her up against the wall before lifting her.

She gasped and moaned, wrapping her legs around my hips. Her hands gripped my shirt and pulled, splitting it in half. Buttons flew, pinging off the walls before crashing to the tiled floor.

Our mouths crashed in an onslaught of rough hunger and desire. My dick threatened to explode when her nails scraped down my chest. “Fuck, love. You’re gonna kill me,” I said against her mouth. My hands travelled down her naked back and cupped her ass, pulling her flush against me.
“I need you. Inside me.”
“How?”
She broke our kiss and reached between us, cupping my erection. She gave a squeeze and winked. “Depends. How do you want it?”

Kayden by Chelle Bliss Release Day Blitz

Kayden Michaels has a past filled with sex, addiction, and heartache. A past that he’s avoided sharing with the love of his life, Sophia, and held close to his core not risking rejection.

Needing to get his addictions in check and gain control of his life for the sake of his family, Kayden is forced to confront his past and make amends for the path he’s walked.

Kayden must recount every carnal act and the betrayal from those he’s loved to identify the triggers that spur his addictions and overcome it all to be worthy of Sophia’s love – his sole reason to exist.

Extended Excerpt ~ Prologue

I was an addict.
Sophia didn’t know this about me when we met – when I stole her heart.
I struggle every day with my sobriety, and Sophia is my compass. She’s what keeps me grounded and always points me in the right direction. She doesn’t nag or yell but smothers me in her love and understanding.
Sophia asked to hear my story, my past. She wanted to know everything about me…what led me to her. I gave her a condensed version – one that is closer to PG-13 compared to the NC-17 reality that I lived. No matter how much the person you love the most, the one who is the center of your universe asks about your past, you never give the full truth. I never want Sophia to compare herself to any of the women or experiences that I’ve had before her. Sophia is perfection in my eyes. No one could ever compare to her.
I’d like to say my life began again when I met Sophia, that I was given a clean slate. Sophia met me at the point in my life where I had given up on love. My life consisted of work and pleasure – pleasure from the unattached sexual relationships and the booze that had filled my nights.
When my life spiraled out of control, Sophia caught me in her web of security and love. She is my savior, the only thing that is true in my life. She can’t know my entire story. Who would want to know the true story of the love of their life, the father of their child?
The thought of Sophia being with another man makes my skin crawl and pisses me off. She’s mine, and I’d like to think that I’ve been the only man in her life and the first one to taste her, but I know I’m lying to myself. Ignorance is bliss, and I’d rather stay in the dark.
After our child was born, I thought it was necessary to get help to control my drinking. I needed to make sure I never walked down the path of self-destruction again. I had too much to lose. For the first time in my life, there was something more important than myself or even Sophia. There’s a tiny little life that depends on me and needs my love and adoration.
I didn’t want to go to group counseling – I’ve done that before, and it sucked; it wasn’t more than a temporary fix. I needed something to get to the root of my addiction and allow me to find other ways to cope with the pressures in life besides at the bottom of a bottle. The counselor told me to write down the major events in my life – the ones that caused my drinking to go out of control or drove me to drink.
He said I needed to understand the cycle. What came first – the booze or the problems? He asked me to write a journal about my life. Everyone who I could remember that triggered my drinking, use of drugs, and events that were caused by my addiction that had an impact on my life. I didn’t see the use in writing it for someone else to read and analyze, but he said I would understand it in time.
Where do I start the tangled mess that was my life? Do I start with my first taste of booze, the first sniff of coke, or the crazy bitches I’ve experienced? There will be bits that I leave out; things I don’t want the world to know. I’ve included the ones that show what has molded me into the man I am today. The ones that will fill in the gaps on my troubled journey that Sophia and I overcame and show the depths of my depravity and addiction before Sophia walked into my life and turned my world upside down.
I’ll start at the beginning, what led me off the path of righteousness through my moment of self-destruction and finally salvation in the arms of a loving woman too good to be mine.
